Residents win state beautification award.
For Dorothy Wood, it’s not about winning awards. It’s about making her community a better place for everyone to enjoy. “I never thought I’d get an award for this,” she said. “I just like to make it better around here.” Wood was recently awarded with the Wally Bronner Award by Keep Michigan Beautiful. The award, named for the man that founded Bronner’s Christmas Store in Frankenmuth, is the top honor award by the group. The program for the ceremony had a listing the best described the award.
