Financial Performance Dashboards

Under the Economic Vitality Incentive Program or EVIP, the State of Michigan is requiring local units of government who receive statutory revenue sharing under PA 140 to create a Citizens’ Guide to Finance and an internet performance dashboard.

Property Tax Bills

The summer 2017 tax bills for real and personal property in the City of Gibraltar have been mailed out as of July 1st. If you did not receive a tax bill, please call (734) 676-3900 or notify us in person at the Treasurer’s Office, located at 29450 Munro Ave. to receive a duplicate copy. Summer 2017 taxes are payable without penalty through August 31, 2017.

Winter 2017 tax bills will be mailed out December 1, 2017 and will be payable without penalty through February 14, 2018.

Failure to receive your tax bill will not defer payment of the 4% late penalty.

The City only accepts payment for taxes in the form on cash, check, or money order. Taxes are payable by mail (postmark dates accepted), in person at the Treasurer’s Office during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or can be put in the drop-box located in the island in front of City Hall.

Starting March 1, 2018, real property tax must be paid at Wayne County at 400 Monroe Street #320, Detroit MI 48226. If your mortgage company pays the taxes for you, they will receive a copy of your tax bill. If you have delinquent water bills or outstanding invoices, these balances will be placed on your taxes with the summer billing in addition to a 25% fee.
